Item Kadına yönelik şiddet: Çelişik duygulu cinsiyetçilik, yetkecilik ve sosyal baskınlık yönelimi açısından bir inceleme /(Sağlık Bilimleri Enstitüsü, 2015) Erkurt, Aydan; Hasta, Derya; PsikolojiThe present study aimed at investigating the relationship between ambivalent sexism, authoritarianism, social dominance orientation and attitudes toward violence against women in marriage. Sample population consists 480 participants (286 females, 194 males). In this research Personal Information Form, Right Wing Authoritarianism Scale, Social Dominance Orientation Scale and Attitudes Toward Physical Wife Abuse Scale is used to collect the datas. Results of the study indicates that hostile sexism, authoritarianism and social dominance orientation are positive predictor variables of attitudes toward violence against women in marriage. It means; when participants' hostile sexism, authoritarianism and social dominance orientation level increase, their attitudes toward violence against women in marriage are being more positive. Besides, men's attitudes toward violence against women in marriage are more positive than women's. Men's scores of opposition to equality and ambivalent sexism (benevolent and hostile sexism) are higher than women's. Lastly, hostile sexism mediates either "authoritarianism and attitudes toward violence against women in marriage" or "social dominance orientation and attitudes toward violence against women in marriage".
